LIBYA CONFLICT: IT'S WAR

I am also expert in body builder.

TOP Gun British pilots were unleashing hell last night as French jets fired the first shots in the battle to free Libya.French bombers reportedly destroyed four tanks plus other military vehicles. An armada of French Rafale and Mirage jets combed the skies over rebel-held Benghazi to keep its people safe from Gaddafi’s murderous thugs. The operation is confined to an area 62 miles by 93 miles around the city. RAF Tornados and Typhoons are on their way to help. Last night explosions were heard on the outskirts of Tripoli as the US fired Tomahawk cruise missiles at Gaddafi’s air defences. Europe, America and the Arab world announced immediate military action within hours of Gaddafi attacking civilians and rebel fighters in Benghazi. Yesterday the defiant dictator continued his assault on the rebel city, home to 670,000 residents. Terrified families were fleeing towards the Egyptian border as the bombardment continued. Gaddafi’s attack was in direct contravention of demands from the West for a ceasefire and retreat. The day began with dramatic pictures of a jet bomber being shot down over the city. The rebels later said it was one of theirs. “The plane circled round, came out of the clouds and towards an apparent target,” said one eye witness. “Then it was hit and went straight down in flames and a huge billow of black smoke went up.” Just hours later, Prime Minister David Cameron declared “the time for action has come”. “Colonel Gaddafi has made this happen,” said Mr Cameron after the meeting of international leaders. “He has promised a ceasefire, he has broken that ceasefire. The time for action has come. It needs to be urgent. We cannot allow the slaughter of civilians to continue.” The action was supported by Britain, France, America and Canada and backed by the all-important Arab nations. Yesterday Typhoons from 17 and 29 Squadrons took off from RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire. Also en route are Tornados from 15 Squadron based at RAF Lossiemouth in Scotland that flew via RAF Marham, Norfolk. They could strike at Libyan tanks or armaThe UK response, dubbed Operation Ellamy, went into top gear after the emergency summit in Paris yesterday when Mr Cameron and French President Nicolas Sarkozy said Gaddafi had broken the rules and Allies would take immediate action. British and American ships in the Mediterranean are also poised for action. Britain’s nuclear sub HMS Triumph was in position to launch Tomahawk missiles at a variety of targets including 400 surface-to-air missile systems, radar installations and aircraft. Gaddafi is also a target. His calls are being intercepted to monitor his movements. All targets have been given a name or number and spooks have dubbed his location GHQ, standing for Gaddafi Head Quarters.
