"Kado Bangali Kado"...this is by far the most hideous slogans I have ever seen in y life so far.I was driving down from Hotel Sonargaon roundabout and there was this small poster with this slogan which caught my attention... I kept on thinking why on earth should I and my entire nation cry forcefully. Crying is supposed to be a natural reflex action.....a feeling of some sort which the heart triggers atuomatically. So on what basis should I be ordered to cry..when I do not feel like? I am not an expert in Politics and I am not good at it either but this small slogan kept me thinking all the way, till I reached home. When I was home, I switched on the TV and I kept surfing all the Bangladeshi TV channels and where ever I went, I saw the same story being played over an over again with the same thought.... that we are bound to cry and it is our duty. The only question that came into my mind over and over again was that "Where we are heading?and what we are heading towards?". Are we trying to evolve into something better or are we forcefully draining ourselves with history and wasting time on post-morterms with no answers?What's our future? In the evening, I was near Gulshan-2 circle and there I saw this amazing thing.I witnessed some gorup of people sitting near the foot path under a pandel with loud mikes which kept on playing , speeches..old speeches which many of us from this generation are unaware of..never heard of.My question to everyone is ,that do we really really pay attention to all these?May be the answer is NO..may be the majority would say they DONT.It seemed to me that people were more in a holidaying mood rather than mourning the death of one of the greatest son of the soil. Death is indeed a tragic thing.Death of family due to an unnatural cause is the hideous crime of all.My point is that,if we have to really pay homage to this leader on this day every year for the rest of the 4 yrs, then we should do it without glorifying anything.We should do it without doing any thing larger than life.It's sad but it is true that we Bangladeshi's do not think deeply of our actions.We just do it for the sake of just doing it...and thats why I guess someone from some portion of the society..put up that poster with that slogan"Kado Bangali Kado",not knowing ..not understanding that we need to just move forward now...We cried a lot and now we want glory...
