Terrorism is a world wide problem and its wave has also touched the shore of Bangladesh which has to consider as a deep social problem. Proper methodologies have to apply as soon as possible to root out terrorism from our country.
Bangladesh is a Muslim country and that is why there is huge scope of spreading terrorism under the shadow of Muslim fundamentalist groups. This sign is clearly visible from the recent activities of terrorism in our country.
Terrorists are trying their best to establish their ideology among general people who blindly believe in religion.
To fulfill their goals, terrorists are influencing Madrasa students to be involved in terrorism in the name of "Jihad". Not only Madrasa students but also many well educated people are getting involved in this harmful process which is very alarming. For example, very recently an IT expert of JMB (Jama'tul Mujahideen Bangladesh) has arrested who has completed his graduation from BUET (Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology). This genius member of JMB was involved to download and translate materials related to bomb making. Without being well educated , such expertise can not be achieved. Such involvement of educated young people is a dangerous signal of spreading terrorism all over the country.
Bangladesh is a densely populated country and unemployment problem is very intense here. If terrorist groups can convince educated people to earn money from terrorism activities, it may create very bad impact on our society as well as on our country. Because when polished brains will be involved largely in terrorism activities, the scale of terrorism will accelerate which will be very alarming.
So it is high time to root out terrorism from Bangladesh so that it can not spread its branches any more. Awareness has to build up among people that nothing can be achieved through terrorism except bloodshed.
Not only Government, people from every sectors must take proper steps to stop terrorism. An intense social pressure has to build up against Muslim fundamentalist groups who are trying to promote terrorism in Bangladesh.
