Recovering A Lost Heart!!!!!!!!!
It was back in 1991, I was listening to music, purely an instrumental played in a cassette recorder. I forgot the title but carried the music in my heart, playing when I am alone, looking through at so many places, so many countries. But who would find without the title – music does'nt has lyrics. I even played the music before few only to identify the title – but failed there too.
Finally it happened; it was rather surprising that I myself found it out from a commercial music site this year – after a lapse of 17 years. I didn’t know this turned into a famous song much earlier by Simon & Garfunkel. Anyway, the history of the tune began its journey from the Inca civilization.
The lyric of the song follows:
El Condor Pasa (If I Could)
Lyrics by Simon & Garfunkel
I'd rather be a sparrow than a snail.
Yes, I would.
If I could,
I surely would.
I'd rather be a hammer than a nail.
Yes, I would.
If I only could,
I surely would.
Away, I'd rather sail away
Like a swan that's here and gone.
A man gets tied up to the ground.
He gives the world
Its saddest sound,
Its saddest sound.
I'd rather be a forest than a street.
Yes, I would.
If I could,
I surely would.
I'd rather feel the earth beneath my feet.
Yes, I would.
If I only could,
I surely would.
