iPhone 5S Camera Improves Photo-Taking Experience

Apple takes pride in their oft-cited statistic that "everyday, more photos are taken with the iPhone than any other camera." So it's no surprise the company has, once again, taken great strides to improve its camera's functionality and features.
During the launch of the iPhone 5S and low-cost iPhone 5C smartphones at Apple's Cupertino, Calif. headquarters on Tuesday, executives detailed a major camera overhaul, from both a software and hardware perspective.

While bigger may not always be better, Apple is going all out by expanding its pixel size; this upgrade will significantly improve the way photos are captured, and ultimately, make the shots you take crisper and more beautiful.
The iPhone 5S also has a wider f/2.2 aperture and new camera sensor, which is 15% larger than before; this means each pixel can convert 33% more light into image data to reveal more detail, and produce less grainy photos.
What's more, the smartphone now runs on a new A7 chip, which is twice the speed of the iPhone 5, so photos can be taken and shared quickly.
Here's a rundown of some of its most impressive features:
True Tone Flash

By using the camera's dual-LED flash, this feature harnesses software algorithms to measure the color temperature of the object you're trying to capture. It flashes both white and amber light at the right time to bring out natural-looking skin tones and more accurate coloring.
Burst Mode
If you're shooting an action sequence, burst mode lets you take 10 photos in a second. It's also twice as fast as autofocus, and suggests which photos you might like best in the collection.
Image Stabilization
Auto-image stabilization prevents you from taking blurry photos due to shaky hands. It takes four pictures with a short exposure simultaneously, and then blends them together to create a clean image.
HD Recording
The iPhone 5S lets you take 1080p HD video, and capture still photos at the same time. One noteworthy feature is its slow-motion effect, which allows you to select a part of the film to be played back at a slower speed. For example, if you're taking video of someone running across a finish line, you can apply slow-motion to those final seconds for a dramatic effect.
Live Video Zoom
While recording, you can now pinch to zoom in (3x) on anything in the background. Simple and useful.
Advanced Panoramic Photography
The iPhone 5S's panoramic-photography feature received a major upgrade, taking 30 frames per second — that's 50% faster than the iPhone 5. Users can also shoot scenes in various lights, and adjust the exposures and shadows for each shot.
Camera and Photos Apps

The new Camera app that comes with iOS 7 lets you choose a filter even before you take a photo, so you can see what it'll look like ahead of time (you can apply a filter afterward, too). What's more, photos are grouped together based on year and location; displayed to look like a mosaic onscreen, this feature will help you find what you're looking for even faster.
