Yahoo gets 12,000 resumes each week, the same number of people it currently employs, company CEO Marissa Mayer said on Wednesday.
“For every job we have, we get a resume each week,” Mayer said during TechCrunch Disrupt, a technology conference in San Francisco.
Yahoo is hiring new employees all the time, she added.

The company has surpassed 800 million daily active users — not including Tumblr, which it acquired earlier this year — representing a 20% increase in traffic since Mayer took the post in July 2012.
She described Yahoo as one big startup: "Our attitude is to be really scrappy."
That scrappy attitude played a role in Yahoo’s most recent change with its logo.
“Most logos get changed a little bit all the time. Yahoo didn't change the logo for 18 years,” Mayer said. "When you get to the point that your brand doesn’t match your logo, then you have a problem."
Because Yahoo has evolved as a company over the past 18 years, she said it was time for the logo to get an update. It was created in house at Yahoo and built to match the spirit of the company.
“We did it in a way that came from a very authentic place. What the brand is really about is the products. That’s what we’re focused on. We’re happy with the logo, but for us, the focus is really on the product,” said Mayer.
That logo has gotten a lot of scrutiny, something that Mayer said she’s not all that concerned with. She said that in the future the company will make periodic small changes to the logo to keep it current, but the focus will continue to be on both the products and the users.
“My ultimate goal is to get the company growing again,” Mayer said.
