Ender Becomes Leader of Dragon Army in New 'Ender's Game' Clip

Ender, the gifted but rebellious youngster tasked with saving Earth, stands at attention before Harrison Ford (who plays Colonel Graff) in the latest clip from the movie version of Ender's Game, set to release on Nov. 1.
Graff bristles at Ender's inability to take orders from a high-ranking officer but, instead of reprimanding him, he hands him the reigns to Dragon Army, a force that has never won a fight.

In the story, Ender has been bred to be a better soldier than the humans that came before him, and the clip sets the stage for his ascent to man's final hope for survival against an alien species called the Formics.
The script is based on the incredibly popular book by the same name, written by Orson Scott Card, and the movie's development has been closely followed by fans. But it has not been without controversy, due to the author's anti-gay rights comments, which prompted an LGBT group called Geeks Out to call for a boycott of the movie. Lionsgate, which is producing the film, countered the author's message by reiterating its support for LGBT rights.
