In the latest installment of the heartwarming web series, "Tails of Hope" from The Pet Collective, an adorable kitten with mobility issues relearns how to use his legs with the help of a walker.
Los Angeles-based nonprofit People and Cats Together discovered Thumper and his siblings in a yard after his owner abandoned them there. The team immediately noticed Thumper's weaker back and inability to properly use his hind legs. A veterinarian diagnosed the cat with an incurable and rare neurological disorder.
Although the veterinarian didn't believe Thumper would ever walk, the team at PACT decided to build a small, personalized walker to help him try. Within two weeks of his first aided steps, he learned to take steps on his own. Eventually, Thumper's legs became strong enough that he could walk, run and jump around completely by himself.
Now that he's made a quick recovery, PACT is focused on finding a good home for Thumper.
