If IFC is known for anything, it's producing off-beat comedy. The new dramatic trailer for the Will Ferrell-produced miniseries The Spoils of Babylon fits that bill.
The six-part dark comedy premieres Jan. 9 and stars Ferrell as Eric Jonrosh, the author of the book (which isn't real) on which the series is based. The show follows a wealthy oil family's empire and all of the drama that surrounds it.

The miniseries also stars Kristen Wiig, Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan, Jessica Alba, Michael Sheen and Haley Joel Osment.
