It's no trick: Netflix will be treating its U.S. subscribers to serial-killer drama Dexter starting on Halloween, when the Showtime show's first four seasons will be available to stream. Netflix will offer the final seasons, five through eight, beginning Jan. 1.
Previously, people who wanted to watch Dexter after it aired on TV were required to have a Showtime subscription to view the series via on-demand service, Showtime Anytime, or buy full seasons on services such as iTunes or Amazon Instant Video.

Netflix and CBS Corporation announced the news Monday after signing a licensing agreement. Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos touted the series in a statement:
"This is one of the great serialized dramas of the past decade and we know our members will enjoy discovering or reliving the twisted world of Dexter Morgan anywhere and anytime they want," Sarandos said.
