'Thanksgivukkah' Searches Spike on Google During Rare Holiday Overlap

In a rare holiday overlap that won't happen again for another 70,000 years, the first day of Hanukkah falls on American Thanksgiving Thursday.

In a blog post shared on Google+ Wednesday night, the search giant said, "Searches for 'Thanksgivukkah' spiked out of nowhere in October and have been on the rise ever since."
Google illustrated the stats in the graph, below, which shows no "Thanksgivukkah" searches in September, followed by a sudden jump in October that continued to increase throughout November.

Last year, the first day of Hannukah took place on Sunday, Dec. 9, while Thanksgiving occurred on Thursday, Nov. 22.
It appears Chrismukkah may have some competition this year.
