Jennifer Lawrence continues to be a champion for positive body image. In an interview with Barbara Walters, the Oscar-winning actress didn't sugarcoat her feelings on body-bashing.
"It should be illegal to call somebody fat on TV," Lawrence said.

The actress added that if society is regulating sex, cigarettes and swear words due to the negative impact they have on children, she questions why "calling people 'fat'" isn't also regulated.
“I get it, and I do it too — we all do it,” Lawrence said. “[But] the media needs to take responsibility for the effect that it has on our younger generation, on these girls that are watching these television shows, and picking up how to talk and how to be cool."
Lawrence has faced criticism for what some consider to be her fuller figure. She has made headlines in the past for speaking out against Hollywood and the media's criticism of of women's appearances.

Lawrence appeared in the interview with Walters as a part of ABC's 10 Most Fascinating People special. Others who made the list include Miley Cyrus, Edward Snowden, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. The full interviews will air Dec. 18 on ABC.
