Stranded by the Northeast Blizzard? How To Rebook Your Flight Online

As a winter storm battered the East Coast Thursday night into Friday morning, thousands of travelers were left stranded as flights were canceled. While customer service representatives in airports and on phones rebooked customers, those affected might also get help via Twitter.
Airports in the Northeast closed down for several hours Friday morning. At the time of writing, both New York's John F. Kennedy airport, as had Boston's Logan International Airport, according to a Facebook post. If your flight has been canceled, check with your individual airline for information.

United Airlines is helping some customers through its Twitter account, though it also directed customers to manage their reservations on its website.

American Airlines is speaking with customers on Twitter but still urging them to call American's support line at 800-433-7300. US Airways, which merged with American Airlines December, is telling stranded customers to contact them on Twitter with their confirmation number and email so they can help them rebook.
Delta Air Lines has its own Twitter account dedicated to customer support at @DeltaAssist, where customers can send direct messages with their details to representatives. The Twitter bio states that those looking for a faster response should call Delta at 800-221-1212, or you can file a complaint online.
JetBlue, which has a hub in JFK Airport, is asking customers via Twitter to call 1-800-JET-BLUE to reach a representative to reschedule a flight.
Virgin America is also helping travelers through direct message on Twitter, though also recommending travelers call 877-359-8474.
Southwest Airlines' Twitter account isn't assisting passengers, so if you're flying through that airline, you should try to reach them at 800-435-9792. Instead, it's telling people to be patient.
