UK singer Lily Allen regrets turning down a gig that would've earned her a Bitcoin fortune.
The offer to stream a performance live on Second Life came "about 5 years ago," and the payoff was "hundreds of thousands of bitcoins," Allen revealed in a tweet Sunday.

While "hundreds of thousands" is quite a stretchy term, one hundred thousand bitcoins is today worth about $91,200,000, while 500.000 bitcoins is worth a whopping $456,000,000.
For comparison, Lily Allen is said to be worth more than £6 million ($9.83 million).
Though Allen's decision to turn down this offer sounds crazy today, five years ago one bitcoin was worth pennies. Its price has been extremely volatile in 2013, skyrocketing to $1,200 at one point before falling down to sub-$1000 range.
