Several tried and true viral video tropes made the cut this week, as the Internet was set afire by a clever celebrity prank, a soaring Pelican wearing a GoPro, a satirical college advertisement, Jimmy Fallon and, of course, a cantankerous cat.
Fallon brought one of his most popular segments — lip sync battles — to his new gig as host of Late Night, but he was forced to bow down and concede defeat after Paul Rudd nailed a version of Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now."

While Rudd got a handshake and a hug for his efforts, a dog was captured on video getting completely stonewalled in its attempt to give a high-five to an unwilling cat. As you might expect, the Internet was amused.
An unsuspecting auto reporter was certainly not amused, however, when NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon, posing as a cab driver, took the reporter on a high-speed joyride with a police car in hot pursuit. The stunt was Gordon's revenge for an article the reporter had written saying a previous Gordon prank video was staged.
