Snohomish County Helicopter Rescue Team's "Snohawk10" was the first helicopter on the scene in the hours immediately following the devastating mudslide. The rescue of the 4-year-old boy in the video below was one of eight that the rescuers performed in the hours immediately following the mudslide.
As the helicopter descends, a rescue worker can be seen pulling the boy out of the muck. Another worker jumps out of the helicopter, which is hovering over the debris, and pulls the boy aboard.
His two sisters, step-brother, and dad are still missing. His mother was at work when the mudslide struck. The boy survived.
