A day long workshop on Finance & Banking held at AUB Auditorium, uttara campus in 4th July on Friday. The 22nd & 23rd batches of finance department has arranged the program with the co-ordination of Mr. Monir Ahammad, Lecturer in Finance, School of Business, AUB. The program was inaugurated by the honorable Vice-Chancellor of Asian University of Bangladesh as Chief-guest. The presence of special guest(s) Prof. Md. Kayser Hossain, Prof. (Capt.) Abdus Samad, Mr. A.K.M Salauddin, and chairman of the program & Dean of school of Business of AUB Prof. Ashraf Hossain made the workshop very glorious. The program comprised in three sessions with three different topics named “Corporate banking & e-banking” presented by Mr. Baqui Md. Omar Faruk, SEO, Dutch Bangla Bank Limited, “Credit Analysis of Commercial bank” presented by Mr. Anwarul Karim, SEO, Jamuna Bank Limited, and “ Capital Market & Investment Analysis” presented by Mr. Manjum Ali, Vice President, NCC Bank limited. The respective faculty member of school of Business in AUB Mr. Zahid Hossain (Senior Lecturer, Marketing) Mr. J. Ali (Writer & Career expert), Abdul Hakim, Ashrafur Rashid , Mr. Shawan Uddin, Mr. Kamal Hossain,, Mr. Azizur Rahman , Mrs. Hasina Akther, Mr. Atiqur Rahman and others were present there. The hounarble chief Guest and Vice chancellor of AUB has given very importance in such workshop and seminar to develop the image of department as well as university. He also added that the program like this one will enhance and regenerate the knowledge of the existing students of AUB for facing the challenges in the 21st century. It must will enable them to build up their confidence for contesting the qualified rivals in fires present job market competition. The organizing committee of the program pay homage to Prof. A. H. M Sadeq for reappointed as a vice-chancellor of AUB for another 4 years of terms with crest.
