Superman License Plate Soars Into DMV for His 75th Anniversary

The iconic Superman logo will now appear on license plates. The Bureau of Motor Vehicles in Ohio began offering plates branded with the Man of Steel this week to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Superman's comic book debut in 1938.
As high school students in Cleveland, writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster created the superhero in 1933 before he premiered for the world to see five years later as the cover art for Action Comics No. 1 (see above).

Residents can buy the "Truth, Justice and the American Way" license plate for $20 (plus $16.25 in replacement fees). Some proceeds will benefit the Siegel and Shuster Society.
If you don't live in Ohio, you can still get your Superman fix by turning yourself into a citizen of planet Krypton with the Man of Steel movie's glyph creator.
