'Batman: Arkham Origins' Getting Free-to-Play Mobile Port

Batman: Arkham Origins will have a free-to-play mobile version out later this year, Warner Bros. Interactive announced at New York Comic Con this weekend.
The mobile Batman: Arkham Origins lets users, playing a young Batman, brawl against Gotham's deadliest assassins on both iOS and Android.

The free-to-play mobile game allows players to unlock different outfits as they progress, using in-game currency to buy new, unique Batsuits. User who also own the console version of Arkham Origins will get access to exclusive material through play.
The mobile Arkham Origins was developed by NetherRealm Studios, which also created the mobile version of Injustice: Gods Among Us and Batman: Arkham City Lockdown.
The game was announced during an Arkham Origins panel at New York Comic Con, featuring Warner Bros. Games Montreal creative director Eric Holmes and voice actors Roger Craig Smith and Troy Baker, who play Batman and Joker, respectively.
Developed by Warner Bros. Montreal, Batman: Arkham Origins is out Oct. 25 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC. The game features a younger Batman facing off against Black Mask, who has hired eight assassins to take him down. It builds on the same gameplay as previous titles, Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.
There is no release date for the mobile Arkham Origins; Warner Bros. Interactive says the iOS version will be out "in the game launch window, with the Android version to follow in the holiday timeline."
