Today, we're looking at three particularly interesting stories. If you liked playing with LEGOs as a kid, Motorola's Project Ara could be your dream come true: It's an open hardware platform for building modular smartphones. Apple announced its earnings for the fourth quarter. The company brought in a cool $37.5 billion, but profits declined year-over-year for the third straight quarter. And Netflix has a big idea to shake up the movie industry: It wants to make movies that premiere on the streaming service the same day they premiere in theaters.
