Dear All Bloger, Hundreds of thousands of women are the victims of domestic violence in Bangladesh each year, although most cases go unreported. In light of the recent events of rampant rape, gang-rape and other violence against women; human rights activist advocate Sultana Kamal, under the banner of the "Nari Nirjaton Birodhi Moncho" has issued an invitation letter for a sit down protest. Attached to this e-mail is the invitation letter from advocate Sultanan Kamal. Many organizations will take part in this protest against violence. We request the presence of all like-minded organizations, civil society members and concerned citizens to join in this protest. This will be a part of a series of action-oriented programs for this cause. The Hunger Project will be there to show our support.
