In age of globalization I can’t imagine a single day without experiencing the contact of globalization. An person like me who is living in Bangladesh, one of the least develop country in the world map, absorbing the Globalization in many aspect of life from daily life to study and work place. At every morning I wake up and brush my teeth with Pepsodent toothpaste, made by a global company Unilever, than I save my beard with Gillette saving gel and razor which are imported from India but made by Proctor and Gamble (P&G), an American Originated global company. I found many of my home belongings for example LUX (Soap), wheel, surf excel (washing powder), Garnier (face wash), Head & shoulder (shampoo) are either imported from overseas or made in Bangladesh by large multinational companies. After that I turn on my kitchen’s stove which runs on gas, at first I thought gas is our own natural resource but when I searched it on Google and found foreign giant companies like US origin Chevron supplies around 900 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd) of gas to the national greed, which is almost half of the country's total gas production of 1,980 mmcfd. I am used to ride BRTC Volvo bus in my way office at every working day, BRTC is a government transport service but it imported Volvo bus from a Swedish commercial vehicle making company Volvo. I have been given a Nokia mobile phone from my office for ease communication which is made in Finland and assembled in Korea, I use Grameen Phone network which is the joint venture of Grameen Bank Bangladesh and Telenor Norway. I work for Software and IT Service Company. The company where I work is a consequence of globalization itself the reason why, all the computer machineries are imported from overseas, even we hire consultants form overseas countries like UK and India. Market of my organization is beyond the national boundary. I am an MBA student of Stamford University Bangladesh, where my teachers use multimedia projector in the class room for better understanding. I usually collect class lecture Slides from my classmates through yahoo-mail (china origin) and most of my text books and reference books are written by American writers, more significantly the concept of MBA course is developed by Americans. Finally, Bangladesh is integrated and interdependent with the rest of world’s economy and as a citizen I personally experience above mentioned real life instance of globalization.
