This is around two months and a half that a new Democratic Government has taken over showing people new hope of forming a "Digital Bangladesh". What does the word "Digital Bangladesh" means. In a democratic country we all have right to express our opinion and share our feelings with each other.To my understanding its does not mean something related to high technology, that many of us is trying to make fun out of that. To me it is something that we all dream of our dear motherland. Now my point is that, is it really possible for us to turn our dear motherland as a digital one. We all know that Bangladesh is one of the developing countries of third world. What are the determining factors of development for a new borne country like Bangladesh. It is definitely a strong economic infrastructure, existance of our heritage, culture, our tradition, literature and so many.Let us look back since our liberation, how far we could flourish our nation in front of whole world and where we are lacking behind. Before liberation and even short after that we had only a few developed sectors like jute, tea, agriculture etc. You all will agree with me that, we lost our traditional past of jute industry. Other than that I think tea and agriculture has its smooth journey and on the way of its modernization. Though we have an agriculture based economy, it started turning towards industrialization. Our lifestyle has improved remarkably. A few days back I meet a foreigner from Poland. I asked him the reason of his tour to this country. The man replied without hesitation that he is here for the popular garments sector of Bangladesh. Why I am saying this because Bangladesh is famous in abroad for its popular garments sector. Other than this now we can mantion some other established sector like telecommunication, leather, medicine, steel re rolling mills, plastic mills etc. In comparison to other developed countries may be the ratio of prosperity is less. Probably it could have been much better. But USA became independent in 1776, it is more than two hundred and thirty three years. Even India and Pakistan got their independence in 1947, it is also more than sixty two years. So if we bring the time factor in consideration at least those who all have got heart burnings they can console themselves. Now the most importent thing is that who all have done this. Is it done by BNP, Awamiligue or some other political parties or some Prime Minister? No this is done by the people of this country. With the process of time if some has got great contribution for the nation like Bangabondhu Sheikh Muzibur Rahaman, Shahid President Ziaur Rahman, General MAG Osmani, Mawlana Bhasani, Rafiq, Zabbar, Barkat for people will remember them and will speak of them; its not themselves. And Forming a digital Bangladesh, it is definitely possible and will be done by the people of this country. Neither only BNP nor Awamiligue alone can do this ..to be continued
