If you're getting Gmail emails hours after they have been sent — or not receiving new messages at all — it's not just you.
Google confirmed on Monday that it is experiencing problems with the platform and is looking into the issue.

"The email delays are affecting less than 50% of Gmail users," the company said on its service details site.
That number is up significantly from when Google first reported the issues at 10:25 a.m. ET, which at that time only affected 0.024% of users.
