সারাজীবন পড়াশুনা না করলেও যদি এই কয়দিনের পত্রিকার পাতা ও টিভি চ্যানেল গুলোতে চোখ বুলাতেন তাহলে বুঝতে পারতেন বোধহয়! ডিপ্লোমা ইঞ্জিনিয়াররা বিএসসি ইঞ্জিনিয়ারদের সমান মর্যাদা চাচ্ছেনা! তাদের যথাযথ মর্যাদা চাচ্ছে! আর সে অনুযায়ী পদ বিন্যাস ও আছে! চাকরীরর প্রথমে: ডিপ্লোমা ইঞ্জিনিয়াররা উপ সহকারী প্রকৌশলী আর বিএসসি ইঞ্জিনিয়াররা সহকারী প্রকৌশলী। ডিপ্লোমা ইঞ্জিনিয়াররা ২য় শ্রেণীর কর্মকর্তা আর বিএসসি ইঞ্জিনিয়াররা ১ম শ্রেণীর। এখন আপনাকেই ভাবতে হবে এস.এস.সি পাশ করেই ৩য় শ্রেণীর চাকরী পাচ্ছে! সেখানে বাংলা মাধ্যমে ৪ বছর ধরে প্রকৌশল বিষয়ে পড়াশুনা করে একজন ছাত্র কিভাবে ৩য় শ্রেণীর পদ মর্যাদা নিবে? আর ডিপ্লোমা ইঞ্জিনিয়ার না থাকলে ফিল্ড পর্যায়ে কাজ পরিচালনা করার কেউ থাকবেনা! উন্নত বিশ্বে ডিপ্লোমা ইঞ্জিনিয়ার ব্যাপক মূল্যায়ন থাকলেও বাংলাদেশে স্বার্থন্বেষী কিছু মহল এবং আমলাদের কারণে ডিপ্লোমা ইঞ্জিয়াররা প্রশ্ন বিদ্ধ হচ্ছে বাংলাদেশে! ডিপ্লোমা ইঞ্জিনিয়ারদের দাবি হলো: ডিপ্লোমা ইঞ্জিনিয়ারদের ২য় শ্রেণী পদমর্যাদায় উপ সহকারী প্রকৌশলী পদ বহাল রাখা পদোন্নতির হার ৫০ শতাংশে নিয়ে আসা। ( ডিপ্লোমা ইঞ্জিয়ারদের পদোন্নতির সুযোগ অনেক কম কারন কর্মরত ডিপ্লোমা ইঞ্জিয়ারদের সংখ্যা বিএসসি ইঞ্জিনিয়ারদের চেয়ে ২৬ গুন বেশি ) ডিপ্লোমা ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং অধ্যয়নরত শিক্ষার্থীদের প্রশিক্ষন ভাতা এবং বৃত্তির পরিমান বৃদ্ধি করা। (এসকল ভাতা নির্ধারিত হয়েছিল অনেক আগে যার পরিবর্তন এখনো হয়নি।) কোন এক শিক্ষা পদ্ধতিতে ভালো খারাপ থাবতেই পারে...সেই জন্য গেটা ব্যাবস্থাকে অসম্মান করে বিদ্রুপ করে সম্ভধোন করা খেকে বুঝাযায় আপনারা কত অসুখি হিংসাপরায়ন...আসলে তাদের অবদানে অখুশি....Diploma in engineering একটা Specialize education as B Tech/BSc Engineering. But aim to produce a diploma engineer is to start work at mid level engineer as they are now. For the reason behind they don't do so called research work as BUET and bla bla university's student do on their rest two years. If diploma engineering is not a general degree then how come BSc Engineering will be regarded as a graduate education? I know some people say diploma engineers are SSC pass...then question can be raised Bsc Engineers are HSC pass...?? Technical discipline never can be compared with general degree.According toInternational Journal of Basic & Applied Sciences IJBAS-JENS Vol:12 No:05 It was found that maximum weightage of general subjects is given in the diploma engineering curriculum of Bangladesh (20%) that met the standard set by European Engineering Education [1]. India provides 14%) of general subjects which meets the standard defined by Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology [2]. Whereas Pakistan (12%) and Maldives (8%) are still below the criteria and they need to improve their diploma engineering curriculum by in corporating more general courses.on the other hand diploma engineering from bangladesh is technically more sound by 4 years curricular.Though Indian 3 years diploma regarded as a govt university entry quantification with 1 year exemption.they study three year in the university for their graduation. but in BD where constitution say equal opportunity for all.. n constitutionals university's dont obey that. Even Curtin University of Technology, Australia get them entry to 2nd year in a 4 years engineering...in usa when some one has done his 14 years schooling with associate degree in technical field they can write associate engineer...and they can finish their BS by doing 2 more years in a university........so do your govt following what happening around the glob...??If U r an engineer U might be knowing IEI...U know IEI give exemption in AMIE exam for diploma holders??? N IEI is commonwealth engineering body member. IEI look after engineering activities and education...then in Bangladesh...who prepares diplomas syllabus ,course work???They r not engineers, they are alien with no connection with IEB...??? that's why IEB think IDEB as a counterpart...?? IEB suppose to work/ partiality only for member or have to work for engineering activities of country ???? Diploma engineers never snatch others job but BSc Ppl dose.. According to ours countries situation diploma engineers are more suitable n they r contributing accordingly more then BSc Engineer.In BD university's interaction language couldn't be a problem or question as constitution give more emphasize in Bangla...and there is no place for other language.so why they wont get exemption in BD universities. Ok IEB ,Tech University wont give them equal opportunity for study n designation to diploma. diploma in engineering is a deadened education curricular so they will work only.....if he work in a technical section for 4 years then for promotion he has to give theoretical exam with a fresh applicant for assistant engineer position...how funny it is???I batter say protest to diminish technical education then see how much flash remain on your buttock.If IEB cant ensure equality then dont go against their promotion quota...just think how many engineers graduate each year n how may diploma engineers wait for their promotion in a factory after working long time under a graduate engineer.Every year 200000 Diploma engineers come out...where as BSc engineers not even 30000...whats the ratio? NO you r a BSc engineers...U studied 2 more years...been to NASA...invented new something for human kind ..U shouldn't compete with them..you will go to snatch 4 years experienced diploma engineers job how worked under a graduate ,n eventually has been promoted for higher post..nice no??? yeah this fresh graduate and experienced diploma ratio will be much more then the quota 50% they want (১:২৬), until they got equal opportunity in studies they should get quota according to their ratio n contribution. For everything Isostasy is much more important. ডিপ্লোমা পাস করে ২য় শ‍্রেণীর কর্মকর্তা হলে ক্ষতি কী ? ১৪ পড়াশোনা আর ৪/৫ বছর দক্ষতা নিয়ে প্রমোশান চা্ওয়াটা কি দোষের কিছু.. এখন যদি বিসিএস প্রকৌশলীরা বলে যে, সূধু বিসিএস প্রকৌশলীরাই প্রথম শ‍্রেণীর কর্মকর্তা হতে পারবে। আর বিএসসি প্রকৌশলীরা ২য় শ‍্রেণীর, তাহলে কি দাড়াবে? আপনাদের মতামতকে আমি শ্রদ্ধা জানায় কিন্তু একটু জেনে এবং যু্ক্তি সংগত মতামত দিবেন!
