iPad Air or Retina iPad Mini: Which New iPad Is for You?

Just in time for the holiday season, Apple has not one but two new iPad devices ready to entice eager buyers. In addition to the fully redesigned iPad Air — available now — is an updated iPad mini with Retina.
It used to be easy to choose what iPad to get. Those who wanted the most power and highest-resolution screen could opt for the full-size iPad; those who wanted something smaller and easier to hold in one hand, the iPad mini. This year, Apple has made the differences between the two devices more minute than ever.

The iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina share the same processor, camera and GPU. Both promise 10 hours of battery and can be configured as high as 128GB and with LTE. Moreover, the new design of the iPad Air makes it closer in weight to the iPad mini than to the iPad 4.
We've put together this flow chart to help you narrow down which iPad is right for you. We focused on the kinds of things you do with an iPad, as well as what other devices you might use in your life. You'll notice we didn't focus on price. The $100 difference between the iPad Air and the iPad mini with Retina, to us, isn't what separates the two products. Instead, it's about how the difference in size fits into what you already do in your life.
So check out our chart and let us know which iPad you're going to get in the comments.
