Six to 12 pre-selected lucky Latin Grammys fans will participate in a Google Hangout with their favorite stars that will take place on the red carpet during the show on Thursday.
Producers from Univision, which will broadcast the show, sifted through social media chatter to find a group of "super fans" they have already chosen to participate in the hangout. Stars will be able to walk up to the designated area and take questions from these fans, and the conversations will be broadcasted live to everyone watching at home.

"What we heard from our fans time, time and again, is let us connect with our favorite stars, let us have an impact on the show," David Beck, senior vice president of social media at Univision, told Mashable. "We're really excited to see how the stars react to seeing their fans right in front of them."
Fans who aren't part of the Hangout will still get to ask questions via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Vine video. Univision producers will pick a few to be featured onscreen, and fans can watch as celebrities respond.
The Hangout will last for the duration of red carpet time, at which point a good portion of the show will transition to the social media lounge, located atop the stage's ceiling. Beck said Univision plans to keep tabs on Facebook and Twitter discussion surrounding the event and will highlight conversations from all over the Latin world.
