Microsoft Exec Will Lead Healthcare.gov's Fix-it Team

The White House has named Microsoft's Kurt DelBene the point man in the government's quest to fix the much maligned healthcare.gov, according to multiple news outlets. DelBene is the president of Microsoft Office Division.
Problems with President Obama's bug-ridden online insurance marketplace have dominated headlines concerning the Affordable Care Act, his administration's signature law, since the site went live on Oct. 1. The website has been dubbed inefficient and has proved unable to handle the amount of visitors it has had since the site's launch.

DelBene comes from the business side of Microsoft's operation, and according to his biography on the company's website, he "oversees the engineering and marketing functions for a wide range of productivity products and services, including Office, Office 365, Exchange, SharePoint, Lync, Project, and Visio."
He will replace Jeff Zients, the White House's director of the office of management and budget, who next year will lead the National Economic Council. Senators had praised Zeints' work, according to Politico, and last month wrote to the president to ask that he be quickly replaced by someone of equal skill.
