We're adding a little glamour to game day this year in anticipation of Super Bowl XLVIII being held in our very own New York City backyard.
As part of the fashion-packed road to the Super Bowl, Bloomingdale's has teamed up with some of the most iconic names in style and the Council of Fashion Designers of America to create a collection of 48 haute-couture football helmets, each one unique to its world-class designer's personal flair. The collection is on display in the windows of the 59th Street Bloomingdale's store in New York City, as well as online.

The helmets will be auctioned off from January 15th through February 4th, and net proceeds will go to the NFL Foundation.
In addition to the auctions, we're inviting Mashable readers to submit a helmet design of their own for a chance to win a Bloomingdale's gift card as well as a mini 3D-printed version of their submitted helmet design.
Put on your creative thinking caps and show us your best shot at turning these printable helmets into an accessory fit for Fashion Week. Here's how to submit your entry:
1. Print and construct the mini helmet using the provided template and instructions.
2. Add bling, artwork or a personal touch to your design.
3. Snap a photo and upload it to Instagram by midnight on Jan. 22 along with the hashtag #FashionTouchdown.
