Soundslice, a web app that makes learning guitar easier by syncing tablature with YouTube videos, has launched a new DIY sheet music creator that could change the way musicians collaborate.
The new version syncs chord charts, tabs and sheet music, allowing for ultimate clarity and usability. The simple interface, which was designed with JavaScript and HTML5, allows you to loop sections, toggle between a real recording or one synthetically generated from the notation, adjust the tempo without altering the pitch, zoom in and out and visualize the notes as they go by in real-time.

This allows musicians to instantly recognize the notation that corresponds to what they're hearing, instead of searching for the right location on a piece of paper while attempting to play the piece correctly.
Overall the site is clean, simple and very fast, which is excellent because there is nothing more frustrating than clunky technology standing in the way of your musical education.
Soundslice will also be teaming up with JamPlay, a successful guitar site, and CandyRat Records, which will make its artists' tabs available through Soundslice.
