বৃক্ষ
যেদিন ধরা ছিল প্রাণশূন্য
নিস্তব্ধতায় ছিলো ভরা
ছিলো না কোন মুক্ত শ্বাস
মুক্ত বিচরন এই ধরায়।
ছিলো না ধরায় উল্লাসে মাতা
সৃষ্টি, জন্মের আদি খেলা
হয় নাই পরিপূর্ণ ধরা কেবল
এক বৃক্ষের অভাবে............
যে ধরারে করেছে মায়ায় বন্ধন
ভালবাসার জালে আবদ্ধ, প্রাণ সঞ্চালন
আর হয়েছে মৃত্তিকার পরম বন্ধু।

Had no breath, no free loitering
Desolate the land was.
Bleak was the earth from the exultation
Of the primal artistry of Creation,
Could not be replete with herself
Just for a tree .......

And has been a great chum of the clay.
