iTunes Now Accepts Donations for Typhoon Haiyan Relief

The iTunes store now lets customers donate $5 to $200 to victims of Typhoon Haiyan via the American Red Cross. The storm smashed into the Philippines over the weekend of Nov. 9, leaving at least 1,774 dead, 2,487 injured and 660,000 displaced, according to CNN.
All contributions will be sent to the American Red Cross to "provide shelter, food, emotional support and other assistance to victims," the donation page reads, and iTunes won't share user information with the relief agency. The site also notes that, if the amount donated exceeds what is needed to assist people affected by the typhoon, the Red Cross will use the money to help victims of other disasters.

In addition to the iTunes option, the United Nations World Food Programme, UNICEF, Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity and plenty of other organizations allow you to donate online or via text.
Those donations will help the 2.5 million people in the nation that CNN said still need food, water and other assistance.
To contribute through iTunes, visit the store's donation page.
