He was one of the visionary and prime architects of modern India. He was not only a great politician but a great intellectual (His “glimpse of world history” is just amazing and a must read to know the history of world in a brief). In recent times I was just trying to imagine what if BD becomes a part of Indian. So I find some positive/negative aspects of it, here is the list – Positive outcomes if BD becomes a part of India(the sequence here is random!)- 1. No border, so we can travel to any part of India without visa. Mumbai is as close as Dhaka! 2. Without any kind of maneuver we will be a “secular country”! 3. If they try to build some dam like tipimukhi then we can march directly to Delhi! 4. We will be a part of a NUKE nation and super power!!! 5. We will be a part of 21st century super economy. Stable share market and under a stronger money (100 taka = 68 rupee!)! 6. No chance of military “ku-de-ta”, as Indian history suggest (though there is no surety that BD will not rule by army like Kashmir under largest democracy on earth!) 7. No confusion or bashing if someone mixes Hindi with Bengali as Hindi is the national/official language of India (and will be in Larger India too). 8. All Indian restaurants run by BD people in foreign countries will be real Indian restaurants without any cost (amazing!!). 9. We will be supporter of a better cricket team (in fact if we can be a part of Indian in near future like 2012 we will be able to claim our self as world champion!) 10. No cry for balance of payment ($4,570 vs $512 million- daily star!!), easy transfer of goods. There will be no cry(& no shame) for using SHAWDESHI product! 11. If there is an environmental disaster we can move to many mega slams (unlike currently only Dhaka!) 12.Many more……. Negative outcomes if BD becomes a part of India(the sequence here is random!)- 1. Losing a better flag (I think BD flag is better looking than Indian, maybe we can go for a bargain to ask them to design better flags, but I doubt they will agree!) 2. People like me who born after 71 will lose(“fatal error- severely damaged disk portion!”) that part of mind & brain which store the map of the country named BD (Unfortunately we only know one map not like our previous generations who saw three different maps within 30 years before 47, 47-71 & after 71). But you know we are no body so who cares!! 3. Permanently losing our form of Bengali language (it’s not a big deal we are already in the process of losing it). 52 what? - O Sharukh becomes so old, but he doesn’t looks so! 4. Losing national anthem – (you can sign the song who cares, ultimately Tagore also wrote the Indian anthem) 5. Losing independent – what is the meaning of it! After all we don’t believe that religion plus language can define a nation. The smart way of defining a nation is based on hazy historical precedence. Do you not know under foreign invader like British and Mughal ruled Indian as a single country! 6. I don’t find much… you know we are in a very winning situation!!
