Allah (suba) Says in the Holy Quranbr />
Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim
(Allaah has promised those among you who believe and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession to (the present rulers) in the earth, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practice their religion, that which He has choosen for them (i.e., Islaam). And He will surely give them in exchange a safe security after their fear (provided) they (the believers) worship Me and do not associate anything (in worship) with Me. But whoever disbelieved after this, they are the Faasiqoon. [An-Noor 24:55])
Hadith Sharif with strong reference
It has been reported on the authority of Nafi, that 'Abdullah b. Umar paid a visit to Abdullah b. Muti' in the days (when atrocities were perpetrated on the People Of Medina) at Harra in the time of Yazid b. Mu'awiya. Ibn Muti' said: Place a pillow for Abu 'Abd al-Rahman (family name of 'Abdullah b. 'Umar). But the latter said: I have not come to sit with you. I have come to you to tell you a tradition I heard from the Messenger of Allah. I heard him say: One who withdraws his band from obedience (to the Amir) will find no argument (in his defence) when he stands before Allah on the Day of Judgment, and one who dies without having bound himself by an oath of allegiance (to an Amir) will die the death of one belonging to the days of Jahillyya. – Sahih Muslim, Book 020, Hadith 4562.
Evidences from the Sunnah
As for the evidence from the Sunnah, several Ahadith have been reported, outlining the extent to which the dominance, the spread and the might of this deen will stretch. These sayings of the last Messenger to humanity, Muhammad (SAW), leave no room for doubt that the future belongs to Islam, insh'Allah.
Imam Ahmad extracted in his Musnad (5-114) on the authority of Ubay Ibnu Abi Ka'ab (RA) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: Bring glad tidings to this Ummah, she will have the power, the pride, the deen, the victory and the authority on earth. So he who worked to reap the rewards in this life rather than in the hereafter, he would have no reward in the hereafter.
The second evidence from the Sunnah would be the celebrated reports about the return of Islam, as proud and as mighty as ever, through its state and its people, till the Day of Judgement.
Imam Ahmad extracted on the authority of Al-Nu'man Ibnu Bashir (R) who said: We were sitting in the mosque with the Messenger of Allah (SAW), and Bashir was a man who used to follow his Hadith (SAW). Then Abu Tha'alaba Al-Khashni came and said: O Bashir, do you recall the Hadith of the Messenger of Allah (SAW) about the Amirs? Upon this Huthayfa said: I do recall his speech. So Abu Tha'alaba sat down and then Huthayfa said: The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: The prophecy will remain among you for as long as Allah wills, then Allah will lift it when He wishes to, then it will be a Khilafah Rashida (rightly guided) on the method of the prophecy, it will remain for as long as Allah wills, then Allah will lift it if He wishes, then it will be a hereditary leadership which will remain for as long as Allah wills, then He will lift it if he wishes, then it will be a tyrannic rule, and it will remain so for as long as Allah wills, then He will lift it if He wishes, then it will be a Khilafah Rashida on the method of the prophecy, then he kept silent. (Musnad of Imam Ahmad 4/273).
In the book of Ibnu Asakir entitled the "Great history of Damascus", Yunis Ibnu Maysara Ibnu Halbas is reported to have said: The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: This rule (i.e. the Khilafah) will be after me in Madina, then in Al-Sham, then in the peninsula, then in Iraq, then in Madina, then in Bayt Al-Maqdis (Al-Quds), and when the rule is established in Al-Quds, that would be its place, and thereafter nobody will be able to remove it.
Al-Hakim in Al-Mustadrak 4/468, Ahmad is his Musnad 2/84 and Abu Dawood in his Sunan, under number 2482, reported that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: Two immigrations will take place, and the latter will be to the place where your father Ibrahim may peace be upon him had immigrated.

It is forbidden for Muslims to have two leaders in the world whether in agreement or discord.
08.Al-Qurtubi said in his Tafsir[33] of the verse, "Indeed, man is made upon this earth a Caliph"
This Ayah is a source in the selection of an Imaam, and a Khaleef, he is listened to and he is obeyed, for the word is united through him, and the Ahkam (laws) of the Caliph are implemented through him, and there is no difference regarding the obligation of that between the Ummah, nor between the Imams except what is narrated about al-Asam, the Mu'tazzili......
Al-Qurtubi also said:
The Khilafah is the pillar upon which other pillars rest
An-Nawawi said:
(The scholars) consented that it is an obligation upon the Muslims to select a Khalif
(The scholars) consented that it is an obligation upon the Muslims to select a Khalif
Al-Ghazali when writing of the potential consequences of losing the Caliphate said:
The judges will be suspeneded, the Wilayaat (provinces) will be nullified, ... the decrees of those in authority will not be executed and all the people will be on the verge of Haraam
