Egypt and its Tahirir square..............Hasan Kamrul

খুব জানতে ইচ্ছে করে...তুমি কি সেই আগের মতনই আছো নাকি অনেকখানি বদলে গেছো...

It is very historical place of civilization; it is a place of Nell Nadh, it is the route of Sahara Desert, it’s all Egypt. Some days ago, it was a burning place for democracy, agitation here was carried out for concluding the Murabark era. Husney Mubarak is a name of autocratic leader for last 30 years. Peoples of Egypt would like seriously to stop autocracy and back to democracy. Agitation has started in this January, first of all, thousands of people were gathering at Tahirir square peacefully for revolutionizing autocracy. Mubarak treated them as Islamic Militant Group for getting sympathy from western and attacked on peoples crudely. People became more serious for Mubarak arrogances. Government televised in favor of Mubarak but protesters strongly denied the government statement and expressed their emotion with the help of internet through face book, twitter, and Google news analysis site for sending their message to the people for understanding that Mubarak is a autocrat, he is wrong doing leader, please come and joint with us and boosting your support “Mubarak must go” in this slogan. Several lakh peoples already gathered then at Tahirir squares to express their moral support to putting in force with agitation. It had become 20 lakh over crowded place on 4 February after Jumma pray. Riot police brutally attacked the throng, several people were died and injured by rubber bullet, bullet and tear gas but throng never became disassociated from their approach. Mubarak declared 144 at Cairo, Alexandria and Swaj on 28 January and deployed army for creating pressure on protestors to ruin the movement. Peoples strongly neglected the curfew and burnt the NDP head office, barricaded the state television building and foreign ministry. At the end of the day, Mubarak revoked his cabinet and deliberated his television speech nation-wide. 29 January, Omar Suleiman appointed as Vice-President of Mubarak though this post was vacant for last 30 years and Aviation Minister Ahmed Shafiq also appointed as Prime Minister. Already 74 peoples have died. 31st January Army declared that they will not force the protestors because they are very respectful to people’s lawful movement. Vice-President also said that President directed him to start a discussion with the political parties for finding out a peaceful solution. 1st February a grand rally was held in Cairo, Alexandria and other city’s which also called as March of Million. On that day, all aged people from every where of Cairo had been gathered in Tahirir square. Mubarak deliberated a television speech that He would be resigned from his post in this September but protestors denied his speech and bounded a time-frame on 4th February for his resignation. 2nd February Army has requested to the agitated to return their home and pre- planed attack was also occurred in Tahir square by Mubarak‘s supporters. 3rd February peoples have made a strong position against the Mubarak‘s supporters from spicy attack and all of Mubarak’s supporters fled away then anti-government movement strongly spread out over the Egypt. 4th February protestors fully captured the Tahirir square. Army also increased numerically to ensure tranquility of Tahrir square to avoid untoward situation. Next day 5th February ruling party leaders with Gamal Mubarak, son of Mubarak resigned from their post. 10th February, it was the day of 18 for protestors, ruling party senior leaders and senior army officers hardly pressed that Mubarak will resign soon. But Mubarak declared on the same day that he will be president till September and Vice-President will be more influential in this time. It comes true on 11 February at the day of 18 for agitation, Vice-President announced that Mubarak will resign and his resign letter will be accepted without delay. After this declaration, peoples were joyful for their successful movement. Now Mubarak is no more with his post. Army has taken the power for democracy. Protestors returned their sweet home and eagerly waiting for a peaceful election to draw democracy attention in Egypt as well as whole world is also waiting to see the democratic progress in Egypt without any delay. Time to say what will have been happening in Egypt at near future either it is to be a democratic country by election or born another army back autocratic government who will be the latest version of Mubarak?
