Hamas vows to resist Israeli occupation with all means
[ 06/02/2008 - 10:00 AM ]
GAZA, (PIC)-- The Hamas Movement stressed on Tuesday that it will remain on the path of resistance against the Israeli occupation till all usurped Palestinian rights are retrieved.
The Movement's remarks came after it claimed responsibility for the attack in the Israeli city of Dimona in the 1948-occupied Palestinian lands, affirming that the attack was in retaliation to the bloody IOF crimes in Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
In an exclusive statement to the PIC, Dr. Sami Abu Zuhri, the official spokesperson of Hamas Movement in Gaza Strip, said that the announcement of the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, in which they claimed responsibility for the Dimona attack refutes Israeli allegations that the two martyrs had infiltrated into Dimona through the Egyptian borders.
The Brigades published a video clip showing the two fighters reading their final statements before carrying out the attack where they underlined that the attack was in reprisal to the IOF troops' brutality in the Palestinian lands, identifying the two fighters as Mohammed Al-Harbawi and Shadi Zughayyer, both from Al-Khalil city, south of the West Bank.
"The attack [on Dimona] affirms the ability of the Palestinian resistance, spearheaded by the Qassam Brigades, to hit sensitive locations of the [Israeli] enemy at the time and in the place it chooses despite the Israeli security and intelligence measures", a statement issued by the QB and a copy of which was obtained by the PIC, confirmed.
According to Abu Zuhri, the attack in Dimona proves that Hamas was and will remain clinging to the resistance option, and that it will use all available means, including "martyrdom" operations among other means.
He also described the armed attack as "natural" response to the continued crimes of the "Zionist occupation" in the Palestinian land, adding that the attack had also failed all Israeli and US bets on breaking the Palestinian resistance.
Moreover, Abu Zuhri denied Israel's allegations that the two fighters crossed into the city through the Egyptian borders, underling that the Israeli fabrications were meant to instigate Egypt to seal off its borders with occupied Palestine.
Last week, the Egyptian authorities allowed hundreds of thousands of Palestinian citizens in Gaza Strip to get into Egypt to buy food, medicine, and other life necessities after the Israeli occupation government cut off food and fuel supplies to the 1.5 million inhabitants in the tiny Strip.
"Amidst the persistent IOF aggressions against the Palestinian people without international stern action to bridle those atrocities, we have no option but to defend the Palestinian people with all accessible means", explained Abu Zuhri.
