It's one thing to wish someone a happy holidays from your iPhone. But watching 2,000 iPhone 5S devices fall like dominoes to reveal an epically festive message takes things to a whole other level.
Aatma Studio, the company behind the viral iPhone concepts that include lasers and holographics, placed 2,000 phones standing upright in an intricate design. As the first tips over, new patterns and colors are revealed until ultimately the iPhones are lit up. You're treated to a visual masterpiece that even includes animated fireworks.

The lighting affects and smartphones are computer-generated, however, so the company didn't actually purchase 2,000 iPhones for the project.
"We are an animation and digital content studio specializing in producing computer-generated imagery, so we modeled, animated and rendered computer-generated phones, where the footage was used as a background and the phones were composited over it," said Pramod Modi Shantharam, CEO and animation director at Aatma Studio.
Near-field communications (NFC) technology was used to transfer the lighting from one phone to another. The company performed a similar experiment earlier this year with 10,000 iPhones falling like dominoes.
Although this version is computer-generated as well, it sure beats sending a seasonal emoticon in a text message.
