Pizza Hut sold $1 million worth of pizzas through its online delivery app on the Xbox 360 game console in the first four months the app was live, Polygon reported Thursday.
Pizza Hut launched its Xbox 360 app in April 2013, allowing customers to order pizzas and sides from the comfort of their gaming consoles.

A spokesperson for Yum Foods, Pizza Hut's parent company, confirmed the statistic to Mashable, adding that use of the app has remained steady. Unsurprisingly, more orders were placed on the weekends. He also said 11% of those who ordered from the Xbox 360 app were ordering from Pizza Hut's online services the first time.
A Pizza Hut rep didn't specify whether it was considering expanding to other game consoles.
Earlier this month, Pizza Hut celebrated the 20th anniversary of the first online pizza delivery request, which was placed in 1994 via its PizzaNet services. The first order placed was for a large pepperoni, mushroom and extra-cheese pizza.
