Hulu Kicks Off Super Bowl Ad Channel With Classics Like Apple's '1984'

Hulu has kicked off the run up to the advertising bonanza known as the Super Bowl with its launch of AdZone.
Now in its fourth year, AdZone hosts a wide variety of advertisements from past Super Bowls in the run up to the game on Feb. 2, along with a few previews of ads that will be shown during this year's game.

The channel includes numerous iconic Super Bowl ads such as Apple's "1984" and Reebok's "Terry Tate: Office Linebacker."
On gameday, viewers can visit AdZone, embedded below, to see commercials that have run and vote for their favorites. Last year, voters selected "Farmer" by Ram Trucks as their favorite. YouTube runs a similar competition - AdBiltz, in which viewers also selected the Ram ad.

Advertisers have been paying about $4 million per 30-second spot during this year's Super Bowl, according to Ad Age. Ads during last year's game were going for about as much.
By comparison, the average ad during the Big Bang Theory bring in about $330,000.
Fox has said it sold out its Super Bowl ad space, despite last year's game failing to beat the 2010 and 2011 Super Bowl ratings.
