If Salvador Dalí went seapunk and had only 10 minutes to shoot a commercial, this would be the result. Vikam clothing used this bizarre ad to sell work clothes and uniforms. Weird, because the main actress in the commercial is pretty much naked the whole time.
Caution: This Neft Vodka ad is extremely violent and graphic, a.k.a. the stuff Quentin Tarantino’s dreams are made of. It has the feel of a live-action video game, where the protagonist runs around a city shooting, stabbing and killing everyone in sight. It’s a viral hit, with nearly 20 million views on YouTube.
If you don’t want to use violence to sell your vodka, the next best thing is to feature some highly objectified women. The crux of this Kreskova ad is simple: A man living alone in a cold cabin finds himself unbearably lonely, but once he starts drinking Kreskova, his place is full of beautiful women fawning over him.
Russians take seat belt safety very seriously. Case in point, this public service announcement about buckling up, which features an unhappy couple. The wife tells her husband she is divorcing him. According to her, she’ll get the house and custody of their child. Ominously, the husband takes it all in and simply says it doesn’t matter, because he’s got everything he needs: his seat belt. Cue dramatic car crash.
This video has it all: unicorns, tattoos, DJs, fire and, of course, burgers. There’s just so much going on here, we don’t know where to start, but one thing is clear: Russians really like Burger King.
Sexy women are nothing new in Russian ads, but car manufacturer SEAT pushed the envelope way too far. The commercial is basically soft-core porn, featuring model Yana as a lingerie-clad saleswoman.
Continuing the theme of ads that have little to do with what they’re advertising, this TCS Bank advert features a creepy dystopian world where humans are replaced by mannequins and blow-up dolls. Somehow this is a bank advertisement.
Russia is famous for its controversial politics, vodka, Pussy Riot and the upcoming Winter Olympics. However, the country is also home to some pretty bizarre advertisements. By bizarre, we mean oftentimes wildly sexist, confusing and creepy.

These seven commercials run the gamut, but common themes include trippy visuals, violence and scantily clad women.
