Jimmy Fallon Leaves 'Late Night' With Musical Assist From the Muppets


Moving on means saying goodbye, and Jimmy Fallon has always been a showman. With Jay Leno’s retirement, Fallon is getting a promotion – and an earlier spot – on The Tonight Show. While he didn't tear up like Leno, to say goodbye to Late Night, the show he hosted for five seasons, he decided to bring in a little help.

In Fallon’s most emotional of all his many viral hits, the Muppets join the outgoing host for a wacky rendition of The Band’s 1968 hit “The Weight.”
The Muppets pulled out all their usual stops, with an absurd, yet sweet duet by none other than Kermit and Miss Piggy, while Fallon swapped beats with Animal himself.
Without spoiling the emotional end, just know that it’s bittersweet and leaves us excited for Fallon's The Tonight Show takeover, which begins Feb. 17. Watch Fallon's Tonight Show trailer below:
