This is a matter of great misconception. Actually, male and female perform equally in the area of problem-solving, ability, analytical skills, competitive drive, motivation, sociability or learning ability. Interestingly, female are more willing to conform to authority and probably that is why female workers get more preference from boss. Their success expectation is less than that of males. They are also found to be less aggressive in work places than males. However, there are certainly some works for which we have preferences. Say for example, generally we prefer female for out front desk, male for our security posts, female for our day care center or for our lower class teaching positions, male for bus or truck driving etc.
