Now that air travelers can use portable electronics throughout the entire flight, Amazon is celebrating by shaving 15% off its Kindle products.
The online retail giant announced on Monday the Kindle Fire HD, Kindle Fire HDX 7 and the $69 Kindle will be available for a 15% discount with the promo code “ThnksFAA” when used during checkout. The promotion is for one day only.

“We’ve been fighting for our customers on this issue for years, and we are thrilled by the FAA’s recent decision — this is a big win for customers," said Amazon VP Drew Herdener in a statement. "Delta and JetBlue have already started flights with the new rules — we’re excited to see which airlines are next."
With the discount, the $69 Kindle is available for $59, the Kindle Fire HD is $118 and the 7-inch Kindle Fire HDX is $195.
