i want to live simple and die simple i know know one may read my mail still i mailed this to prime ministers office ...... subject: wish to see proper govt. Steps on brutality done to doctors body:honurable sir , with most respect i want to bring to your notice that a very brilliant docotor was killed in the very capital of bangladesh on her duty. Dr. Shajia afrin was brutally murdered as she tried to prevent a rape attempt during his duty in night shift. For this tragic death we doctors are in much grief . But to increase our grief more we noticed that no major news media has covered and spread this news appropriately and also shocked that we do not see any initiative has been taken from govt. Side(at least we hoped that prime minister would and should go to visit the family to give condolance ). We doctors made a gathering to protest this crime (in front of sohorawardy hospital) but news media also avoided this news . this incedent has shown again that we docotors do our job in much insecurity.. Our prime minister sir urges us often to go to villages and serve there. I support her. But if we are so insecured even in the city then from where we get the courage to go to villages and serve? Our humble pray to honorary prime minister is-*** 1.at least say some condolace message to the hurt family for once... *2.please make some good law and ensure its enforcement so that any one can not attack doctors on duty (if there is a mistake in part of doctor , he should be punished after proper investigation) 3. Hospital authority should not give any night shift to female doctors when they can not ensure security 4. If any doctor is harmed during duty , his loss should me made good by the authority 5. Different pay scale for govt. Doctors 6.should sketch an ideal sallary frame for private hospitals (many doctors work in private sector for very low salary wheras the proprieter make a huge profit out of them).. 7. Some honourium for honorary doctors .8. And decreaing the discrimination of health cadre to other cadres. we have may other issues ..but for now upto this today. I know bangladesh is poor country and many systems are corrupted but someone has to take the initiative. And i hope and wish you take the courage and responsibilty as head of the govt. To bring the change. Otherwise it is not far that the total health system will crash down.
