Tale of Ants and a mouse: My Family Members

Today I am going to tell you a tale about an Ant Society and a little and cute mouse. I live in Dhaka City, the capital city of Bangladesh. Now Dhaka is the city of building. It is very difficult to find ground, trees and plants here. So the insects that used to live in trees or ground have to leave in the buildings with the human being i.e. animal of two legs. They have to grow their new habit which will help them live with animal with two legs in the buildings. I think they have started to grow new habit. This tale is about that story. I was living in a 5 storied building. At every floor there were two families. I was at the behind side of the 2nd floor. This house was dark, even in the day time we had to switched on the tube lights, when electricity failed we had to fire candles or lamps. Our house had three rooms. At east-south part of the house had a master bed that was my room. At the west south part of the house that was the children room. This room was very small. The window of south part was broken. At the broken window there was a hole. We were using an old scarf as curtain on that hole. On the west -north part of the house there was a long room. East north part was the drawing room and the west part was the dinning room. At the dinning room we had our dinning table. We were keeping all the food on the table. In summer season, one day we saw some Ants came and started eating and carrying the food to their shelter. At kitchen there was a sugar pot and other sweet food, lots of ants were there. When we were touching any pot the ants started biting. At the bed and other places the ants were there. So we were feeling very itching and bad. So I was trying to destroy them. I was killing and firing and all the actions by which we were able to destroy them, but we failed. One day I left a hand made bread on a plate. I saw that the ants went to that bread and were eating and carrying to their shelter. I just left that food and was continuing. Once I saw that no ant was biting me. I was surprised that the ants were not eating other food. After that I was continuing keeping food for the ants and they were just eating and went away. So they became our family friend. Now I am telling about the tale of small cute Mouse. The mouse used to come through the hole at the window of my children room. We had a big pot made of clay named “Matka” at our kitchen. We were keeping unused bazaar bags in that Matka. That mouse started living in that Matka. It was coming to our house two times a day; once in night and was leaving at morning, and secondly it was coming at noon. It was following a specific root. It did not touch any other things of the house. I was keeping food for it at a plate under the dinning table. In this way this small cute mouse became our family member. These two stories are telling us that the insects and animals are becoming our friends. If we treat them as our friend they also return. They are growing their habits on living with the homo-sapience in one house and we have to supply food for them, but the homo-sapience does not think the insects and other small animals as their friends. As a result we kill them, destroy them. We do not think that these insects and animals are also the part of this universe. If we would like to maintain ecological balance we should love all the creatures of this universe as we have done.
