Who would like this?: Star Wars fans, space enthusiasts, people who like pancakes
If you've ever had the inclination to take out your frustration on Darth Vader, doing so by biting into his head covered in your favorite syrup is probably pretty high on your list. Or, maybe you're more the eat-what-you-see-on-TV type and have always had a small voice inside encouraging you to find a way to make Star Wars edible, especially for the most important meal of the day.
Your reason for seriously geeking out over Star Wars-inspired anything (but especially Star Wars pancake molds) doesn't have to be explained — because it is a universally acknowledged fact that when you take something generally loved by all and make it into pancakes, it will indeed be accepted as the best invention ever.
So, what’s the only thing you need to know before dishing out less than $10 for all three Yoda, Darth Vader and stormtrooper molds? Well, obviously, you need to be able to make yourself some pancakes. Thankfully, this trio comes with a pancake-making explanation that even Jar Jar Binks could master. Note: You will probably want to purchase a pancake pen to make sure that you get an even amount of batter in all the corners and crevices. You can make the pancakes without it, but expect deformed results.
Plus, to make sure that you don't puncture any unnecessary holes in the faces of your newly formed space heroes and foes (at least before your fork does), these molds come with a handle to make flipping them super simple. The molds even fold down for easy storage, making them ideal for a cramped apartment — or hiding them from your significant other.
Be sure that you coat the sides of the molds with cooking spray, though, or the batter may stick to the sides, making it really difficult to separate a perfect pancake from the mold that created it.
If you aren’t a pancake expert (and according to the Williams-Sonoma reviews, there is indeed such a thing), you can always opt for the Star Wars Heroes and Villains cookie cutters instead. Of course, these cookies will require that you harbor Jedi frosting skills. Yeah, okay, so the pancakes might be easier.
Check out how amazingly delicious-looking these Star Wars pancakes turned out and just try to not want to make some yourself.
