A 60-year-old Bangladeshi man who speaks impeccable English, Bengali and Hindi is desperate to find his bearings and his family after suffering a sudden memory loss in Dubai. Currently in Ward No. 14 at Rashid Hospital, he said, "My name is Zaki Mohammad Ferdous and I am from Dhaka. But other than that, I don't know who I am. Please help me find my family." An official at the hospital said, "He was admitted on January 30 this year with high sugar, weakness, anaemia and an ulcer in his ear. He was referred to the hospital by a police clinic." But Ferdous has no clue how he went to the clinic or landed in the hospital. "I am trying my level best to remember things. But it's as if there is a huge obstruction. I am going crazy," he said. Pam Gauri, Hospital Co-ordinator of the NGO Valley of Love, said she has been knocking on several doors, including the Bangladesh Consulate, trying to put pieces of his puzzling past together. "But I have had no success so far." She said, "He is ready to be discharged but we need to find his family and send him back to Dhaka. We just hope someone will recognise him and help us find his family." Although Ferdous speaks fluently, his inputs are vague. He claimed he had a good job but couldn't remember where or what kind of work it entailed; he said he knew Dubai well but couldn't name any landmark. Similarly, he said he missed his wife and children but had no clue who they were. "I don't know anything. Please help me. Just reunite me with my family," he pleaded. সূত্র: গালফ নিউজ
