বাংলাদেশ বিজ্ঞান ও শিল্প গবেষণাগার, রাজশাহী সংক্ষিপ্ত গবেষণা কর্মকান্ড উত্তরাঞ্চলে সহজলভ্য শিল্পজাত কাঁচামাল যেমন লাক্ষা, আঁশ, খয়ের, রেশম, বিভিন্ন ফলমূল, প্রচলিত ও অপ্রচলিত তৈলবীজ, ঔষধি ও কীটনাশক গাছ-গাছড়া এবং শাক-সবজি এর উপর ভিত্তি করে ১৯৬৭ সালে প্রতিষ্ঠা হয় বিসিএসআইআর গবেষণাগার, রাজশাহী। এই গবেষণাগারের মূল উদ্দেশ্য হলো উল্লেখিত সহজলভ্য স্থানীয় কাঁচামালের সর্বোচ্চ ব্যবহার নিশ্চিত করে জনগণের প্রয়োজনীয় চাহিদা মোতাবেক যথাযথ প্রযুক্তি ব্যবহার দ্বারা শিল্পপণ্য উৎপাদন পদ্ধতি উদ্ভাবন করা এবং এর মাধ্যমে বিভিন্ন শিল্প কারখানা স্থাপন পূর্বক দেশের অর্থনীতিতে ব্যাপক অবদান রাখা। এছাড়া স্থানীয় শিল্পসমূহকে তাদের পণ্যের মান উন্নয়ণে সক্রিয়ভাবে পরামর্শ ও সেবা প্রদান করাও এই গবেষণাগারের বিজ্ঞানীদের অন্যতম একটি প্রধান ল্য। গবেষণার ধরণ ও প্রকৃতির উপর ভিত্তিকরে রাজশাহী গবেষণাগার ৭টি বিভাগে বিভক্ত। বিভাগগুলো হলো: ১।
