D:\afif\handy_cam\mahdi.jpg I think many people miss the whole point of boycott movement and trying to stop or sabotage it by perching false logics like 1) it will not have any impact, 2) how we can oppose India as we are very weak 3)we don’t want to start fight inside my family (means TV/Hindi Chanel should not be the target) or 4) Fear mongering that there will be a harsh treatment form government. Here is some argument against their logic - If there is value of human chain or procession then what this group (boycott Indian product) is doing is far better than those. It’s a peaceful way applied by many societies including Indians against British. The beauty of this is if a person does it consciously he has to think about his country/society every time he is going to buy or use any product, it is not like human chain or procession when for few minutes we activate our patriotism and turn it off as soon as we leave the chain. Actually the fundamental thing is to increase the awareness and feeling of patriotism and this activity definitely do that. I am sure there is a pressure India will felt as we are one their largest export destination (7% of their total export bound to BD) but that’s not the point, as if we are really aware we can create much stronger influence on how India will deal with us. We are like a knife in India’s belly(literally see the Indian map) if we just agitate we can created death blow they know it better than anyone. I strongly believe People's behavior looks strange sometimes but it is far from stupidity, a recent example is Arab spring, it may seem unbelievable why people felt anger and started a revolution(enough is enough!) in ME due to the immolation of a fruit vendor, he was no body and people like him was oppressed in ME for several decades. Same thing for all great revolution, its a mystery - when and why a revolution started, in most cases the starting points looks so insignificant compare to the final outcome. Who ever thought a half naked man starting a march for slat will bring Independence of India. I think slowly but firmly people of BD understand that the root cause of our major problems arise due to the direct/indirect intervention from Indian in our political/economical/environmental systems, we can’t solve our problem when our political system heavily skewed by foreign powers. Identifying the enemy is the key for any revolutionary success, we did the half part now we have to wait for the next half part to see it will be successful or not. I am sure there will be no mercy from our rulers(proxy of India) as they had a golden opportunity to crash the morality of the general population and make them subversive for next several decades. The whole thing is a mess now!!
