REGULATIONS The Festival is non-competitive and does not have categories * No prizes are awarded * The Festival is open to all * It is held at Nandan, West Bengal Film Centre * There will be one or two official screenings of each selected film. Screened films will be given a ‘certificate of participation’ on request. Criteria Any film within 45 minutes of duration is eligible for entry * Films should be in English/ Hindi/ Bengali or may either be dubbed or subtitled in English * A person can submit a maximum of 3 entries and an institution a maximum of 5 entries * * Films submitted to other Festivals may also be submitted again. Films once screened in any edition of KSFF is not eligible. Entry conditions Entry Fee is Rs 200/- for each film submitted * Each entry must be placed in a hard jewel case accompanied by labeled still photographs from the films; a passport size photo of the director/producer, for use in the festival catalogue and promotion * Entries without the duly filled-in entry forms will not be considered * A separate entry form should be filled for each entry * Films once entered cannot be withdrawn. No Entry Fee for films from outside India. Submission deadline for entry All entries must reach the Festival Committee at CHITRABANI, Kolkata by 30 October 2011. Any film that seek entry between 1-15 November 2011 will be charged a late entry fee of Rs.100/- each extra. Sending procedures Entries for selection will be accepted in DVD format only placed in a hard jewel case and have to be handed over or sent by courier to CHITRABANI, Kolkata. If sent from outside India, the entry package should be labeled “Only for cultural purpose, no commercial value”, in order to facilitate custom procedures. Selection of films Selection will be complete by 20 November 2011, immediately after which directors/producers of selected entries will be notified by either E-mail or SMS. The films not selected may be collected from Chitrabani by 30th November 2011. Format for final submission: DVD Requirements for selected films Entry for the festival indicates acceptance that the preview copies will be part of the KSFF Archive maintained by CHITRABANI. These copies will be treated as a record and for reference, and will not be distributed nor screened commercially. If selected, copies of films submitted for preview, will be used for final screening Note: The festival committee takes all reasonable care to preserve and protect all the films duly submitted to it. However, the committee will not take any responsibility for loss of any film due to causes beyond its control like theft, natural calamity, etc. Hence you are requested to keep a copy of the film. *Submission of a film constitutes agreement with the regulations set forth herein. *The Festival Director reserves the right to decide, in consultation with festival organizing committee, all questions not specifically provided for in the regulations.
